Spiegelau presents the very successful Vino Grande wine glass series.
This is a series of crystal glasses that meet the highest standards for wine lovers. Vino Grande allows you to enjoy wines in the best possible way. Due to a very large number of single lens sizes available in the Vino Grande series, each lens is the right one. With Vino Grande, the level of detail is high. Here you can get a glass specially designed and developed for the exact wine you want to serve. The same applies to spirits, drinks and beer. Here you will find a glass for every liquid product you wish to please your palate with. And on top of that, there is a beautiful carafe for the series.
Here you can get everything from the slender flute glasses to your sparkling wines, to the highly versatile white wine glass, as well as the three types of glasses for red wines (all-round/universal glass, the glass for intense dry wines and the glass for light, elegant wines). Of course, there are also glasses for your drinks and cocktails, which you can choose to serve as an aperitif. And certainly not whether Spiegelau has thought of those who prefer to enjoy a beer during or after the meal.
The timeless design of the Vino Grande series has made the lens long-lasting. Fashion changes in interior design and table settings, but these glasses are easy to keep up with contemporary fashion trends. Glsset is very popular in the restaurant industry for the same reason. What’s more, they are extremely easy to deal with. They withstand a lot of use and retain their elegant look.
Vino Grande has a proven track record in practical use over time, particularly in global gastronomy. The glasses are dishwasher safe and are therefore also a popular choice for frequent use.
The world’s oldest glass manufacturer
Spiegelau is one of the world’s most respected and recognised manufacturers of crystal glass.
The German lenses are famous and recognised for their durability and ease of use. The glasses come in many shapes and designs, but common to them all is the desire to achieve a good drinking experience.
Since 1570, the Bavarian city of Spiegelau has been the centre of extensive glass production. First, as part of the glass manufacturer Riedel, mirrors, perfume and snuff bottles and bottles for beverages were used to produce glass of very high quality and user-friendliness at very good prices. Spiegelau is the world’s oldest existing glass manufacturer.
Thrilling clarity
Spiegelau’s glass is very transparent, clear and brilliant. This is largely due to the type of glass used and the properties of the ingredients.
Glass consists of sand, lime, sodium or potassium oxides (alkali oxide) and a certain amount of recycled glass with the same composition. These ingredients melt at approx. 1500°C and in later stages are shaped to the desired product.
Depending on the composition, there are four main categories of glass: borosilicate, glass, crystal glass and lead crystal.
All Spiegelau glasses are made of crystal glass. The high quality of the crystal-resistant ingredients makes Spiegelau’s products more durable, dishwasher-safe, shatterproof and more sparkling clear than other glasses made with cheaper glass compositions.
In addition, production methods and technical know-how directly influence the quality of the end product.
After having undergone 1500 machine washes, Spiegelau glasses have been certified as “extremely dishwasher safe” by an independent laboratory. The laboratory found no scratches, markings, loss of gloss, mist, changes in gloss and colour or accumulation of water chemicals and residues.
