This edition of the Xi Rack, also known as Combination D, consists of several standard modules and appliances.

Drawers going like oiled wheels

A neat feature absolutely worth noticing are the shelf rails.

The rails, which are installed in each side of the frame of the module, fit all kind of drawers, sheets and shelves of the wine rack. Without issues, you can easily exchange a sheet for boxes with a 48-bottle basket.

The rails go like oiled wheels and come with a soft-close function, ensuring higher quality and better longevity.

A solid steel rack as a self-assembly kit

The general concept at Xi Winesystems is that you can design your wine rack as you prefer to.

The wall unit is all about frames in the most beautiful powder coated steel. You may add shelves, drawers and lots of other interesting fittings.

The wine racks are made of galvanized steel for Xi Winesystems. The enclosed adjustable rack legs ensure that the wine rack is perfectly level. All modules can be assembled without the use of tools.

Xi Rack Combination D is a package solution chosen as our suggestion to a fully equipped and ready wine rack of the highest quality possible.

The four pillars of the combination

This combination system as a whole consists of four racks, or pillars, if you like.

Naturally, you can design the four racks as you, or your collection of bottles, prefer. For the sake of clarity, we present to you each component as they appear on the picture.

From left to right, we have chosen to call each pillar 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Number one from the left

The first pillar consists of the basis module; Xi Counter with the Xi Top as a superstructure. Now, we have a frame measuring a height of 183 centimeters.

Let’s get to the stuffing.

Four of the enclosed standard shelves are placed on top. The other four will be saved for the next pillar.

Beneath the four standard shelves, a pull-out board for bottles, the Xi Cuvee Drawer, is placed. This pull-out board allows you direct and unimpeded access to all of your bottles.

Next up is an almost similar pull-out board, only with a slightly steeper inclination angle. Xi Gusto Drawer is intended for already opened bottles and is therefore suited for restaurants and cafes.  

The DoubleM drawer beneath offers space for the larger bottles. This pull-out board has room for four double magnums (3 litres) or three Imperials (6 litres). The pull-out board is ideal for other magnum bottles than Bordeaux as well, for instance Alsace/German bottles, champagne and so on.

Beneath the shelf for the big bottles, you find a pull-out board tailored for boxes; the Xi Select pull-out board.

At last, you’ll at the bottom find another pull-out board, the Xi Stock Drawer, which is shaped as a basket with room for 48 bottles.

Number two and three from the left

The second and third pillar consist of two frames connected to pillar 1. The 2x2 elements needed to support the system are called Xi Counter Extension and Xi Top Extension. Those two constitute two frames of the same height, 183 cm, as the neighbour to the left.

In this example, both frames contain everything in terms of standard shelves from all basic modules following the purchase of the package.

Number four from the left

Last and fourth pillar consists, just like the two preceding pillars, of an Xi Counter Extension and an Xi Top Extension.

In this example, five stationary shelves, Xi Etagere, have been integrated, besides the stationary shelf at the bottom. All in all, you’ll have 6 shelves in the 183 cm tall frame.

There’s plenty of space for boxes, upright bottles, carafes, books or whatever you desire.

Overall capacity of more than 500 bottles

In this entire combination arrangement, there’s space for at least 494 bottles.

Capacity of potential wine boxes are NOT included in the calculation. If we pretend you place a packet of 12 OWC (Original Wooden Case) on each of the seven shelves, tailored for the purpose, the capacity will increase with another 84 bottles.

In total, you get a capacity of 578 Bordeaux bottles.
